The Gingerbread Festival is a three-day, family fun, holiday event that benefits SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House (CCHH).
Since opening in 2013, SECU CCHH has served over 1,200 patients and their families.

The festival includes something for everyone. Adults and children are in awe as they stroll through the winter wonderland of holiday themed crab pot Christmas trees and inhale the sweet aroma of the gingerbread creations; all created by local designers, artists, businesses, individuals, schools and community groups. Additional attractions include kid’s crafts, games, Santa visits, and holiday entertainment both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. A variety of concessions are available through out the day at the Gingerbread Café. And don’t forget to vote for your favorite gingerbread creation and your favorite tree!
Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony, Sunday at 4pm.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated

Join in the fun as we kick off the 2019 Gingerbread Festival. Preview Party tickets include entertainment by North Tower, Heavy appetizers catered by Seaside Sensations, Beer & Wine, and a Silent Auction including decorated Crab Pot Christmas Trees.

The Gingerbread Festival is an annual holiday-themed family event that benefits the Crystal Coast Hospice House. At the heart of the Festival is a Gingerbread Village created by local artists, individuals, schools and community groups, and over 30 spectacular Crab Pot Christmas Trees designed and decorated by individuals and corporate sponsors. Additional attractions include kid’s crafts, Santa visits, and holiday entertainment both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. A variety of concessions are available through the day at the Gingerbread Café.

Sunday, December 8, from 11 am to 5 pm
The Gingerbread Festival is held at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, located at 3505 Arendell Street in Morehead City, NC. Parking is free and there is limited handicap accessible parking.
Admission is free, but donations are accepted. All proceeds go to support the SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House.
You can become a Festival Sponsor, enter the Gingerbread Competition or volunteer at the Event. And, of course, you can attend the Festival, bring lots of friends, and bid on trees and gingerbread creations.
The Gingerbread Festival could not happen without the generous support of our incredible sponsors and donors. We have sponsorships available from $150 - $5,000, and each level includes a variety of benefits, including signage, advertising, preview party tickets, etc. You can also donate items to the silent auction.

Please join us as a volunteer! Get into the spirit of the season while helping Crystal Coast Hospice House help other. Volunteers are needed for all phases of the three-day event (before, during and after), including setup, the event itself and breakdown.
Volunteer Opportunities BEFORE Festival of Trees include tree setup, holiday decorating of the Festival, preparing crafts and many other tasks and activities.
Volunteer Opportunities DURING Festival of Trees include Santa’s helper, kid’s craft area, greeters, concession workers and many other activities.
Volunteer Opportunities AFTER Festival of Trees include breakdown, tree packing, and various other tasks.

Items purchased at the event are only tax deductible if they have been purchased for higher than their fair market value. This applies to ticketed events and silent auction items. Trees, gingerbread houses, and raffle entries are NOT tax deductible. Please see your tax advisor for specific tax questions.
There will be food at the event. The Gingerbread Café will be open and selling items all day. Items available include hamburgers, hot dogs donated by El’s Drive-In, chips, popcorn, and a variety of baked goods. There will also be a candy shoppe with lots of sweets!
The trees and gingerbread entries that are marked for sale can be purchased at the front reception table with cash, credit card or check. All checks can be made out to CCHH. Please note: the trees will not be available for pick-up until after the event.
All trees and gingerbread houses that have been purchased can be picked up at the close of the Festival on December 8th from 5-6pm or on December 9th from 9 am to 1 pm. Items not picked up will become the property of the Gingerbread Festival and the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
The trees can be easily transported and fit in most larger vehicles with all the ornaments and lights still attached. If you would rather take some of the ornaments off, you are welcome to bring some bags or boxes for you to package them. Volunteers may be available to help you load your tree.
